Ted Markow, CFP®, CLU
Ted offers over 25 years of experience in the financial service industry helping individuals achieve their financial goals. Ted and his wife, Joy, founded Markow Financial Group, Inc. in 1994 with the mission to improve the financial independence of their clients.
Ted earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and Management Systems from Princeton University, where he was a member of the football team. He earned his MBA degree in Finance and a MS degree in Accounting from New York University's Stern School of Business. He is a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner, a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), and a former Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
In his spare time, Ted enjoys spending time with his wife and their four daughters, Ginger, Lucy, Daisy and Piper. He enjoys fishing, skiing, wakeboarding and spending time with his family.
Joy Markow, CLU
Joy has over 20 years experience in the financial service industry. She and her husband, Ted, founded Markow Financial Group, Inc. in 1994 with the mission to improve the financial security of their clients. Joy is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU). She has a Life and Health Insurance License and a FINRA Series 7 Securities License. Since the birth of their second child she has not been actively working with clients and has taken on a corporate support role for Markow Financial Group, Inc. Joy enjoys spending time with Ted and their four daughters snow skiing, water skiing and wakeboarding.
Nathan Nguyen Tran - Assistant
Nathan joined Markow Financial Group, Inc. in March 2020 as an Assistant to Ted. He graduated from Elizabethtown College in Pennsylvania with a BS in Business Administration. Nathan currently holds a Washington State Life and Health Insurance License and FINRA Series 6 Securities License. Nathan handles the daily administrative tasks and is responsible for keeping the office running smoothly. He works closely with our clients and assists them in all capacities.
Nathan was born and raised in Hanoi, Vietnam. He moved to the United States in 2010 and attended high school in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Nathan lives in Seattle with his wife, Taylor and their cat, Luci. He enjoys riding BMX (Bicycle Motor Cross), hiking, cooking and spending time with his family.
